Allison Robin Smith

Originally from the expansive landscapes of Alberta, Allison discovered her passion for art at an early age. She pursued formal studies in Illustration and Design at Dawson College in Montreal, later working as a graphic designer and freelance illustrator before becoming a full-time artist in 2017.

Now based near Montreal in Saint-Lazare, Quebec, Allison works from her converted barn studio, where she paints, teaches, and builds community through art. Her semi-abstract landscapes and expressive portraits, created using water-thinned acrylics, explore mood, light, and emotional resonance, all deeply inspired by her connection to nature.

Her work is held in private collections across Canada and the United States and reflects her belief in the power of art to connect, inspire, and provide space for quiet reflection.
