Collection: Denise Finn

My journey into fibre arts began at a young age, taught and mentored by my mother. From the age of 8 or 10 into adulthood I received instruction in knitting, sewing, embroidery and quilting. In 2020 I discovered rug hooking. I greatly enjoy the tactile nature of working with 100% natural fibres. My medium consists of wool yarn, wool rovings and wool cloth. My materials are pulled through a primitive linen backing with a small hook one loop at a time. I find the process of pulling loops very meditative and relaxing. When I couple these responses with my love of colour and texture I feel great joy in creating my art.
