Susi Walters

Susi Walters is a Swiss-born photographer who immigrated to Canada and lives in picturesque Eastern Ontario. She draws inspiration from the beauty of the natural world, using her unique artistic vision to create stunning images that captivate and inspire. Susi’s work is characterized by a unique fusion of photography and digital painting techniques. Each of her images begins as a photograph, meticulously composed and captured with an expert eye for detail and lighting. Using Photoshop as her digital canvas, Susi then transforms her photographs into works of art that blur the line between reality and imagination. Her process involves layering different textures, colours, and elements onto her photographs, giving them a painterly quality that invites the viewer to look closer and question the nature of what they are seeing. The results are dreamlike images that capture the essence of the natural world while also pushing the boundaries of traditional photography. Her photographs are on metal with a dye sublimation process where the image is infused into the coating to provide permanent protection with high- definition fidelity.
