Collection: Christiane Kingsley

Christiane Kingsley is an award winning fine arts painter based in Ottawa. Christiane is currently focusing on painting detailed oil florals, mostly peonies, and her goal for the next few years is to become the best peony painter she can be. Her work wants to evoke feelings of joy and serenity. Especially Christiane's most recent paintings and the one for the Big Show capture quiet moments of beauty, stillness and emotional tenderness; they reveal how fragile details can feel both powerful and serene.

Christiane has been very involved in the arts community for over fifteen years and has served on the board of several local art associations. She was a permanent juried member of the artist-run Foyer Gallery in Ottawa from 2010 until 2025.

Christiane has developed her skills mostly by herself and through in-person and online workshops or courses:

• 2022 to present: online courses with Italian/Argentinian realist floral painter Maria Marta Morelli
• 2024: seven-week online course, Canadian Glaze Oil Society (Old Masters techniques)
