Leah Olsen Kent

Leah Olsen-Kent’s artistry encapsulates a deep connection to the natural world, emphasizing the serenity and quietude that nature offers. My oil paintings incorporate the use of spray paint, oil paint, and natural objects as stencils to create a visual exploration of the delicate play of light and shadow that is found in the natural environment. The Cyanotypes are derived from these paintings, creating a unique original piece of art but keeping the fundamentals of the originals. Leah works out of her home studio in Cambridge, Ontario and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the Ontario College of Art and Design in Toronto
