A Kingston based artist, Sue works in the ancient art of felt making. Her exploration of this medium started from an afternoon workshop, in 2009, where she became captivated by the process of wet felting and possibilities it held. She carried on experimenting and exploring this versatile art on her own, and in 2015 added to her knowledge and skills by completing a certificate in fibre arts at The Haliburton School of the Arts. Much of Sue’s inspiration comes from the natural world where she is a curious student. Born and raised in the prairies of Alberta, you can certainly see the influence of those landscapes in her work.
